As the title says, this page shows things I'm still working on. I'm
hoping
to get them onto one of the "finished" pages soon.
Appliquéed
Roses
This will eventually be a bouquet of roses in a vase. It's from a
class by Martha Nordstrand, who teaches a very interesting technique of
readying the various appliqué pieces for placing on the background. I
have the flowers ready to stitch, but I need to decide on the vase and
background and then embroider the stamens.
Dream
Landscape
This
class uses a stylized version of a photo or drawing to do raw-edge
appliqué by machine. The seams are then couched with yarns. This one
has been completed to that point, but I still need to do some quilting
and embelllishing -- a real stretch for me, since I don't usually
embellish or do raw-edge appliqué! ;)
